I
developed this website after trying to find out the process of making
home brew spirits.
My efforts to
find information on this subject produced minimal results. The information
I did uncover was shady at best, and did not break the various steps
down to an easy to understand format which I needed. After much
discussion over the internet in various discussion forums, newsgroups
and chatrooms with people who knew the art, I put together my first
still.
Three weeks
later I had fermented, distilled, cleaned, finished and flavored
my fist batch of moonshine. My friends were impressed and were keen
to learn about the art as well. I shared all the knowledge I had
with them and they too, began experimenting with home distilling.
While searching
on the internet for information about a particular step in the process,
I came across a package on ebay about distilling alcohol. I curiously
purchased it, however, was extremely disappointed with its content.
This got me thinking about the possibility of putting together material
in a library type format on the internet.
After nearly
two years of research and work, with contributions from home distillers
from all over the globe - homealcohol.com was born.
The members
area is a library of information that I update weekly with the latest
tips and techniques which I uncover through my continual web scouring
and experimentation.
